Stranger Strings CS122

We started our Stranger Strings Series as a way of experimenting with new ideas, and anytime we come across something really cool, we often make small batches along the way - giving you a chance to try them as well. We release them under the term "Case Study" and number them sequentially: CS#01, CS#02, etc.. If you can believe it, we've actually made our way up to #122!!!

Introducing our latest Case Study, No.122 (aka CS122), a hybrid blend of premium ZipLine polyester and Airetic nylon material.

Since we’ve begun working with Airetic’s nylon thread, it’s really enabled us to explore some exciting possibilities with creating new hybrid blends! CS122 is a companion to CS118, sharing the same composition and twist methodology. However, CS122 uses 100% bright neon/florescent color, and we substitute its original plush nylon additive with a comparable amount of Airetic nylon in its place.

CS122-w (Hybrid White) is the same formula but is composed of two shades of white instead of neon.

The material ratio is still about 70/30, leaning more on the side of poly, but these still have a bit of that softness that can only be achieved by folding in a small amount of plush nylon material. CS122 and CS118 have a very similar feel to our Smoothie Edition and CS50 blends, but these are a bit tighter and longer in length (promoting a sportier performance).

***HyperTone is our term to describe using 100% neon/florescent thread, even when mixing two or more color hues. For example, HyperTone Green is made from ZipLine neon green polyester and Airetic florescent green nylon, but when fused together they give you the perception of a bright green color.***

CS122 is great for lovers of boutique polyester strings that don't feel factory made, but are still visually LOUD! These strike a great balance between performance, visibility and comfort. We think you’ll love them :)
