What's unique about Accel? (from string maker, Jeremy Park). "A couple years back I was working on a new blend with plans to showcase it for the first time at PNWR (Feb. 2020.) I made a couple hundred and carried them draped around my neck at the contest, handing one to every person I talked to, and I never really explained what string it was. I just wanted to see what people thought of it without really talking it up. At the time it was my favorite blend, and I was just hoping that it would organically spark some interest, but I actually believed that it might be the future of ZipLine.
Fast forward to Sept. 4th 2020, it was transformed into what became EP.20/20 (signature string for Paul Harness and Keiran Cooper). It just became a much sportier, tighter, thinner string, which was perfect for Keiran and Paul, but it no longer fit the same vision I had intended for myself. I was happy with the success and popularity of EP20 and that my teammates had an amazing signature string, but I was honestly a little sad that I shelved my personal fav string as a result.
Fast forward to now, I've revisited the original formula and have been working on resurrecting and reinventing the "PNWR special" (the temporary name I called it back then), taking all the new things I've learned about string making since late 2020. That being said, the original blend HAS changed, but only for the better. This one reverted back to the original base polyester thread (found in CS50 and Prestige), but I also added a slight amount of the core poly and nylon from EP, which makes for a thicker/whippier string with a wider slack shape and long lifespan. I've also increased the torsion to be similar to EP, but adjusted the weight and length to be more on par with some of the characteristics people have been loving about AlphaLine (our Sochi collaboration)."
Q) Who's this string for?
A) For people who love sporty polyester string, but want the best quality materials, precision forward string making, and the love and passion only be achieved by ZipLine Strings.
A) For people who love our EP.20/20, Prestige, CS50, AlphaLine, and our recently retired Performance Edition blends.
NOTE: if you got a chance to sample CS#113, this is the latest, most refined version.
