After having released our latest H-shaped HB23 and recent soft-V shaped Possum, we knew that we wanted our next design to fall into the O-shape category. We’ve always been huge fans of organics, and after months of dreaming up a number solid concepts, we’ve finally landed on a design that we absolutely love. The Armadillo plays light and floaty on a moderate toss but can really haul on a power throw. The 7068 material allows us to keep a fairly thin and light body while balancing the weight pretty evenly between the inner cup and outer rim. This makes for a floaty yet powerful feeling on the string, and the return is incredibly cozy as it hits your hand.

All in all, the Armadillo plays pretty fun and chill without lacking in spin time, and the comfortability is really quite satisfying.

:::: IMPORTANT NOTE ::::

Because there were a limited amount of extra units, we did not want to risk doing an excessive amount of half/swap testing on this small batch. This would have put us at risk of an even smaller number of glass-smooth units and potentially cause us to end up with a handful of unsellable, vibey or bearing galled units (which would be sad). Instead, we chose to let most of them pass - pretty much as they came assembled, unless they had enough vibe to make them a definite b-grade, in which those units were set aside for team testing. That being said, these are all very smooth on a grind and on the string, but you could possibly feel a bit of nail vibe - if you really try. If this is not acceptable for you, please do not buy one.
